about

Bonus tracks also feature the single version of 'Know Your Place'.

"Dementio 13 is a Cardiff-based artist making wonderful electronic soundscapes in a variety of styles.
His music has always held an intriguing fascination for me, moving from ‘gentle & reflective’ to ‘knock yer fillings out’ in a matter of moments. Insightful collages of sound from an alchemist’s lair if you like.
July 15 see’s the release of the release of his new album ‘Imperial Decimal’ and I can report back that it contains some of his finest work to date."
Prick & Ding, freshonthenet.co.uk

"Imperial Decimal is very clever, but it is also accessible, enjoyable, and frequently beautiful."
Oliver Arditi - OliverArditi.com

“ 'Our Policy on Swearing' is characteristic of how Dementio13 can manipulate mood and outlook within a single piece. “Imperial Decimal” is yet another absorbing collection of compositions and sound sculptures which suggest both the interests and influences of Dementio13. ”
John Toolan - Music To Wash Up To blog - johntoolan.blogspot.co.uk

"This lovely instrumental ('Application Of Number') with its unearthly sampled countdown is a taster from Paul’s forthcoming new Dementio13 album Imperial Decimal due out via his Bandcamp on July 15th."
Tom Robinson - BBC6Music/Fresh On The Net blog - freshonthenet.co.uk

"Jester comes across like a playfully sinister assault. One can picture it soundtracking some sinister goings-on during , say, a Halloween flick; I’m seeing individuals in ‘joke’ masks taking part in anything but hilarious business."
DuklaPragueAwayKit blog - duklapragueawaykit.com

"Glittering spatial electronica"
Oliver Arditi - OliverArditi.com

As Dementio13 and his other aliases, Cardiff-based Paul Foster explores the potential of genre and sound-design to produce music which at once subverts and exploits the idea of ‘accessibility’. At times challenging, at other times completely conventional, Foster’s music veers between the mainstream and the experimental, drawing on a long tradition of electronic music, from early radiophonics and tape loops, to electropop, krautrock, techno, ambient and beyond.
Though they could occasionally draw criticism for being jarringly too eclectic from track to track, Dementio13’s albums never stand still; creating varied soundtracks which never let the listener settle into patterns. Like a film, or everyday life, the music reflects changing moods, narratives and circumstances. And whilst much ‘ambient’ music encourages passivity in the listener, they are not able to remain passive for long.
